Here are some selected images of my trip to New Zealand in early 2012. This adventure was a major turning point in how I perceived travel photography. Believe it or not, I was strongly against carrying a camera on vacation.
This was also the first year of my photography business and I was still very inexperienced and unsure with my photography. I was using the Sony system (Alpha 850 and 580). My go-to lens was the Sony 70-400mm f4-5.6G due to its versatility, image sharpness and autofocus speed. I switched to the Nikon system later on due to complications with customer support (which meant financial losses to my business). Sony was a wonderful system with particularly pleasing color rendering, but it turned its back on me at the first technical issue.
Anyway, here they are. Hope they make you happy and make you want to book flight tickets to Zealand Hou 🙂 There is no other place on earth that I hold dearer (yes it even surpasses my home country by a long stretch).
